Project Type: University Assignment
Game Engine: Unity
Programming Language: C#
Group/Solo: Group
Knight Raider was a first year group assignment where we create a game using a theme and three diversifiers. Two technical diversifiers were used, “I see what you’re saying” customizable subtitles and “Time Lord” gameplay varies depending on the time of day. For the third diversifier, we went with an aesthetic diversifier; “Story Mode” no cut scenes in the game.
The assignment consisted of producing a paper prototype of the game which we evaluated using “Think Aloud” test where they played through our paper prototype whilst we evaluated whether they were able to complete the tasks which we set them. During development I helped two group members that were not as confident with programming through a pair programming session.
Features:
- Scene Management
Self Reflect: We worked well as a group producing the game with only a few issues encounter along the way. The pair programming helped improve some team members programming skills.
